Indexing and promotion

Standards-compliant sitemap.xml and robots.txt, IndexNow submission to Bing, Yandex and Seznam, and promotion kits that give new pages their first links.

What it is

Ranking is a two-step problem. First a page has to be found and indexed, then it has to rank. Most tools obsess over the second and ignore the first, which is why people publish good content that gets no traffic for months.

This capability handles the first step, and gives new pages the initial push they need to be discovered at all.

How it works

Why sitemap pings are gone. Google deprecated the sitemap ping endpoint in 2023. Any tool still offering "ping Google" is calling a dead URL. Google submissions now go through the Indexing API when credentials exist, and otherwise rely on sitemap discovery — which is why the sitemap has to be accurate.

What it does for your site

It shortens the gap between publishing and being found. For a new page, that gap is often weeks. IndexNow can close it to hours. For a site with thousands of pages, an accurate sitemap is the difference between having your good pages indexed and having your tag archives indexed instead.

Promotion kits matter for a different reason: a new page with no inbound links is a page search engines have no reason to trust. Giving it a handful of genuine first links is what gets it past the initial threshold.

Where the results go

Submitted URLs and their indexing status are tracked, so you can see which pages are still waiting. Indexing activity also feeds GEO visibility — a page AI assistants cannot find is a page they cannot cite.
