Terms of service

The terms governing use of this MoDee SEO Engine instance, including acceptable use, your data, and the limits of the warranty.

What this covers

These terms govern your use of this hosted instance of MoDee SEO Engine. They do not govern the software itself, which is licensed separately and not distributed publicly — see the licence and plans page for the terms under which it is made available.

By signing in or calling the API of this instance, you agree to what follows.

Using the service

Your account

Keep your credentials to yourself. You are responsible for what is done with your account and your API keys. Tell us promptly if you believe a key has leaked, and we will revoke it.

Acceptable use

Do not use this instance to:

The crawler identifies itself honestly and honours robots.txt by default. Turning that off and pointing it at somebody else's site is your decision and your responsibility.

Fair use of shared resources

This instance has finite capacity. Crawls, audits and forecasts that are disproportionately large, or that disrupt the service for others, may be throttled or refused. We will tell you first where we reasonably can.

Your content and your data

You keep ownership of everything you put in: your URLs, your keywords, your crawl results. We claim no licence over it beyond what is needed to run the service for you.

You are responsible for having the right to analyse the sites you point the crawler at, and for complying with any obligations that follow — including, where it applies, telling your own users what you collect.

What this instance stores, why, and how long it is kept is set out in the privacy policy.

Availability, changes and liability

No warranty

This service is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. Analysis produced by MoDee SEO Engine — health scores, rankings, forecasts, flux detection, AI citation results — is an estimate derived from third-party and synthetic data. It is decision support, not a guarantee of any search outcome.

Availability

We aim to keep the service running but do not promise uninterrupted availability, and we may change or withdraw features. Scheduled work may be delayed. Backups are taken, but you should not treat this instance as your only copy of anything you cannot afford to lose.

Limits of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or lost rankings arising from your use of the service. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Ending it

You may stop using the service at any time and ask us to delete your data. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, or that puts the service or other users at risk.

Governing terms

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If a provision is found unenforceable, the rest stands. We will post any material change on this page, and continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.

This is a starting point, not legal advice. It is written to be accurate about how the software actually behaves, which is the part we can verify. Before you rely on it commercially, have a solicitor review it and add the operator's legal entity, address and any jurisdiction-specific clauses. Questions: modees700@gmail.com.
